As a fairly new starter my experience with Elsevier has been very positive. The onboarding process and training were excellent, I feel welcomed and my prior knowledge from my previous publishing role is appreciated.

What is the best part about your compensation package?
private health insurance, and the pension plan is reasonable
What do you like best about the leadership team?
The leadership are engaged in making Elsevier successful but also a great place to work. Communication with employees is open and informative.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I think that publishing as a whole is underpaid, and Elsevier's annual leave policy is less than comparable publishers where the majority offer 27-30 days.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Having moved to Elsevier from a competitor the culture is a lot more welcoming and keen to help all employees get the best from their career
