There is a large degree of diversity and a general sense of acceptance across that diversity. I feel comfortable being who I am.
What are some of the best things about your team?
The team is kind but candid in their communications. We all work together to support each other as we balance work and life and ensure that results happen on time.
What makes you most happy at work?
Interacting with my immediate team/colleagues to achieve results, make progress and also being asked about my personal well-being. Spending time together in person. (though this is rare as a remote employee, and I do prefer being remote.)
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Compensation is based on state averages, but I live in the most expensive city in my state which is also a tech hub, so while I am paid above average in my state, I am paid below average in my city where the cost of living is extremely high.
