I really like working for Elsevier. It is good overall, but there is a mindset of always trying to make it better. There is room for improvement in some areas but I like that there is a general attitude of wanting to fix them.

They appear committed to transformative relationships with our customers and dispelling the reputation Elsevier has acquired for being a necessary evil rather than a trusted partner
What is the best part about your compensation package?
Flexible working. As a working parent I get flexible dependent leave, I can do holiday buy back, there are lots of options available to me which makes it a lot easier juggling home and work
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Greater transparency. How does Elsevier compare to others in the industry? What bench marking is done? How do I compare to others in my grade across Elsevier? Is that in line with my level of experience? Trust starts with transparency and openness. I don't feel like we do that systematically.
