I have had a great career at Elsevier and taken/ been given many opportunities. I have driven my own development and don't expect the company to do this for me. My career is my own.
I've had some great opportunities but currently feel under valued
Visible. Open. Engaging. Walk the talk.
Open, honest and "real" people
Talented. Enthusiastic. Innovative. Honest. Supportive
Psychological safety. Collaboration. Support. Openness
More pay transparency - salary ranges for all roles.
Trying out new ideas. Using my skill set. Making a difference
Making a difference to my colleagues - who are my customers
Dedicated. Motivated. Willing to try new things to develop and grow. Fun.
Support of colleagues and line manager. Being able to try out new ideas.
Visibility of pay structures and addressing the UK gender pay gap. Still waiting for this
Professional. Experts in their field. Willing to help each other. no hidden agendas - all just wanting to do their best job and succeed together.
Making a difference. Delivering my best work. Having new ideas and trying them out. Exploring new ways of doing things and seeing a positive impact.
I don't believe that our job roles are benchmarked frequently. New hire compensation I have trust in, existing staff members less so. Why is there such resistance to salary banding? It works for other locations and businesses.
Elsevierians help each other. It's rare to find someone that only has their own interests at heart. We are all more effective as a team and that's how we operate. I also see respect for each other and genuine care of each other.
