Helping people do research is motivating. I'm driven by this goal but not by the culture of the company.
What makes you most happy at work?
I believe in what we do: helping people do research. It gives me a goal and motivates me a lot.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
I sometimes wonder what my manager and manager's manager do... They like announcing things, doing meetings and best of all: delegating all the actual work without even trying to make it easy on us. Poor leadership.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I've been told that people who are willing to be moved around are more likely to be promoted and nominated for compensation reviews. What about the specialists who want to excel at what they do? Are they not equally valuable? Especially those in critical positions or business units?
