Most Elsevier employees are overworked and not compensated very well until they reach VP/SVP level.
When I feel supported and have the opportunity to use my unique talents and skills to achieve personal and professional success.
The support for I&D and employee resource groups, the many resources for making Elsevier a good work environment and improving at individual and team levels.
We care a lot about I&D and put our $ where our mouths are, but this burden often trickles down to ERG leaders and is added volunteer work on top of their day jobs. We should consider rewarding them more.
Compensation should be differentiated based on past experience, education, etc. and not a flat rate across the role. What a person brings to the role should be prized more highly and we should be competitive with tech company salaries, if we would like to be considered a serious tech company.
