I wouldn't want to be anywhere else- and as a former contractor, I can tell you from experience there is no place better.
THE PEOPLE! By far. Hands down.
How inclusive we are for such a diverse network.
The people- both internal networks as well as the customers I am lucky enough to serve!
THE PEOPLE!!!!! (Our company's mission is great too, but the amazingly talented people are the ones to put that into action!)
Transparency at the Exec level is great, but celebration of our different cultures and diverse workforce just adds a whole other level of authentication that can't be matched.
Transparency and also the personable approach they have taken, especially during the pandemic, to check in on everyone. The leadership team is VERY approachable by those at any level
My title (and therefore comp) is not at all aligned to the level of work I actually produce. It has been a pain point since starting that seems to just keep getting pushed off, as responsibilities keep getting added.
My teams are beyond amazing. Smart, funny, personable... everyone brings a new and DIFFERENT perspective to the group, between work contributions and cultures. The high level of diversity is my favorite part about Elsevier! This point should be celebrated over and over.
When we were in the office there were always ways of collaborating. My favoite was the 'Donut' channel in Slack- every 2 weeks I would be randomly paired with someone else and we would go for a walk and grab a coffee and get to know each other, where our paths may not have crossed otherwise!
