Flexible working, understanding manager and colleagues.
They are clear in what our objectives are, how we're performing, and what's being done to meet goals.
The team culture is amazing. The 'no blaming or finger pointing' sentiment is very strong, and is instead focused on how problems can be fixed.
Sometimes I work with colleagues that clearly haven't done their homework, or read materials they've asked for. I think they could be better prepared coming into meetings.
It's not so much that I feel undervalued, but when I speak to friends in similar roles at other companies, I sometimes hear about incentives that are offered to them and think 'wow, it would be great if Elsevier offered this!' e.g. longer parental leave, more competitive salaries, paid office lunch.
