What does the leadership team need to get better at?
More transparency. Not cutting corners on quality in the name of saving money. Employees should becompensated for skill, tenure, and edication- compensation is not equal if someone with less experience is getting the same pay as an employee with more educationtime and time at Everbridge.

Serious disconnects on what the executive team understands about our employee responsibilities to our customers. The latest round of layoffs was detrimental to my team and has caused considerable pain as there was little to no handover from bridgers that were laid off. Customers have suffered.

Keeping promises and realising we are people. They make big promises and then deliver bits of it after making us wait months. They don't seem to realise that their decisions impact our lives quite significantly. They have made me start to hate working here and I used to be the team cheerleader.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
We were promised equal pay to our counterparts- these discussions were over several months with different managment. Instead we received newly created postions (with no job description) and said our team duties didnt align so they could avoid paying us what had been discussed. Bait and switch

If promises were kept. Nothing worse than receiving a fifth of the compensation you were told you were getting and missing your promised promotion even though your workload and responsibility has increased.

Compensation is proposed to be Boston level. However, being in Burlington, they pay lower wages for the work done in our industry. Everbridge sets the industry standard but does not pay like a Boston company.

Great people inside and outside of work. The people on the teams perform at their role and are good individuals. The team opens up to one another and we work through projects to meet deadlines.

Collectively, we can do almost anything and we get along. But bad ball passes, poor communication from sales to deployment, customer scope creep, customer misunderstandings of the product (or what was sold to them), is making it difficult and people are getting irritated.

We are united as team, usually its about work and getting the job done. We enjoy laughing together too, but lately we seem to be united in hating Everbridge and instead of laughing we are moaning and sharing job openings at other companies.

I enjoy the people. We all work on a great product that can help keep people safe and that makes every day unique.

What needs to change to make the company culture better?
The SMT should stop bringing previous coworkers in at high level positions. It looks like nepotism as these positions are not advertised. More people need to adopt a proactive mindset. There are certain depts that are happy to wait and have the job done for them.

Every client call is different. Some similarities but never the same. The coworkers are helpful and good people.

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
Pay employees fairly and allow us to do meaningful work. All the red tape and the power that HR seems to hold slows down progress.

Sales are important and I get that. Its what we're here for. But from the moment it's sold, we cannot get things deployed or maintain the level of customer service they should receive during the install. I originally thought my onboarding/training was enough, I no longer hold that belief.

Promises aren't being kept, both with compensation and promotions. We need better from the SMT, we need to know they actually care about the staff.
