I have been with the company for over seven years and through the Mounted Memories acquisition. Overall, I feel, especially lately, that things are slowly beginning to turn in a more positive direction. Overall, communication remains one of the biggest challenges company-wide.
Briefly describe your overall experience at your company
Overall, I enjoy my time at Fanatics. Like any other work situation, there will always be things I can improve upon and wish functioned differently. We do unnecessarily burn resources with meetings extended past the time needed or that could be resolved otherwise.
What are some of the best things about your team?
We have been able to build a team based on a collective willingness to help anyone at any time.
What makes you most happy at work?
Developing the future leaders that work with me and report to me has become the most rewarding part of the job.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
While it may not always be a positive, we are generally very open and honest with each other, sometimes to a fault
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I don't believe that my salary is in line with other employees at the same level within other parts of the organization.
What are some of the best things about your team?
The camaraderie the majority of the team shares and the general willingness to help anyone with any task is a great part of the workplace environment
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I do not feel that my current compensation as well as several others in my group are in line with fair market value for comparable positions.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
While culture remains an issue, Claudia Rousseau has done a great job with her assembled fun committee doing everything power to boost morale and raise the culture level throughout our group.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
The transparency the leadership team provides is unmatched. While there are things that, for obvious reasons, must remain confidential, the team is adamant about sharing as much as possible, from the highest levels down
What makes you most happy at work?
Being in a position to take the skills that I have developed during my time with the company and help my direct reports apply that knowledge to experience their own success is bringing me the highest level of satisfaction these days
