they have not a clue , walk in to a store that has a First Data credit card reader , ask them about First Data, they hate us, poor service , high fees

Fiserv was a great company. First Data took over and turned it into a rat race! Horrible culture and leadership.

Current CIO needs to trust his team more and stop micromanaging. Also stop walking away from people as they are speaking, expecting them to follow you - very humiliating. So much more I could add - not a person you want to work for very long (much turnover).

Great compensation package provided as compared to other same category companies

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
It'd be better off if Fiserv ever gave proper promotions and raises. In my time here, I've gotten approximately 5% pay increase with about 1% per year at best.

Work life balance does not matter at all now. 401 match and stock purchase discounts are gone. Leadership does not fill roles of people who have left and expect remaining teammates to double their workload.

Salaries are far below the local market for similar positions. Benefits like paid time off is inflexible for experienced candidates who are eventually hired.

Way to busy due to many people wearing multiple hats; more layoffs as of 6/1/20 which means existing staff will be even busier / paying less attention to detail and even more mistakes.

Streamline your process. New hires are all contractors that get paid for nothing while they wait three months for a laptop after their start date.

Make a decision within a reasonable amount of time. It took you 3 months to decide to hire me and it has taken almost 9 months for upper management to decide to convert a contractor.

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
Being forced into an office is a waste of gas and effort. Let us work from home, or remotely as much as we want instead of pushing for a stupid office is great culture.

Empower and trust your employees. Bring your technology out of the 1980's. Stop living in the past and start embracing change. Become a true technology leader in the industry and come out from behind the smoke and mirrors. Even the junior employees can see through the facade.
