It was great at first. I liked what I did and was good at it. A team member was removed and most of that position's responsibilities went to me. I am strong in these new tasks and they greatly disrupt my existing tasks. I've asked for help. They say take a class. This will not help the work load.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Our team is very short handed. Most team members are willing to help. We have developed a strong bond.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Communicating. Listening to the employee's needs and concerns. Find the best fit for added work that needs to be done due to loosing team members.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
management doesn't have experience in department but is running it? Management unwilling to listen to concerns and suggestions from team members with much more experience in department. Management is not concerned about how to use our strengths and experience to improve the department.
