The team outside of management is a fantastic group. It is VERY clear the morale is down within the group with recent changes. It amazing how the mood has really changed over the last 3-4 months.
Most of my coworkers are absolutely team players and we are all here for each other through the crazy days. I enjoy their company. We are serious when we need to be, but we know how to have fun and laugh together!
There has been a true shift towards transparency since I started here. The Best Place to Work initiative is moving the needle in a very positive direction. The HR team cares so much about the well being around them and I believe employees feel that walking through the door.
Be more transparent and when a decision is made stop going back and forth on it. Last years' issue with the shut down dates was horrible for the employees on the floor and it was very clear that Senior leadership does not care about people spending time with their families.
Now that the company is struggling more financially, it is very clear that they care about money over people. Also, leadership doesnt practice what they preach. All the DDI training in the world isnt going to help this. We were on our way to making improvements but have slid backwards.
This is truly the best team of people that I have worked with at Hoshizaki. With very few exceptions, we get along great and collaborate with ease. There is very little finger pointing or bickering. We all truly care for one another and work very hard to make HA a best place to work.
This is a tough question to answer because the company is "trying" to create change with culture but they are not consistent with their treatment of people. People that have been here for a long time get away with bad behavior but they are easy to cut someone down that doesn't have long tenure.
