Briefly describe your overall experience at your company

My feelings toward the company have changed. I used to have pride in working here but now I feel overworked, overwhelmed, underappreciated, and underpaid. Our products are not of the same high quality as when I started, and the endless backorders are frustrating to us and our customers.

Briefly describe your overall experience at your company

Overall, I am happy here because I have a good team of coworkers and good direct management. I am well aware that I am under-paid and have no opportunity for advancement at the DC level and no possibility of relocating to Peachtree City for any opportunities there, which weighs on me greatly.

My team gets along very well, we care about each other, and everyone is willing to help one another.

What do you like best about the leadership team?

The management team I report to directly is excellent. They care about their employees and try to make improvements.

What do you like best about the leadership team?

The upper level leadership team in corporate is out of touch with lower level management and operations and doesn't listen

What are some of the best things about your team?

Most of us get along very well and are willing to help each other whenever we can. Most of us are team players working cooperatively and professionally.

What does the leadership team need to get better at?

Higher pay rates to reflect higher levels of responsibility, proper staffing rather than overwhelming staff to do more with less, provide encouragement by recognizing hard work and achievements.

What does the leadership team need to get better at?

Staff departments properly, better merit increases, better method of performance evals (scoring system of 1-3 is inadequate), stop overwhelming employees to their breaking point with "do more with less" philosophy

What are some of the best things about your team?

We corroborate often and well, while looking our for each other. We can ask each other questions without fear of being judged, and everyone is willing to help whenever asked.

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?

Being made to feel like none of our accomplishments are enough, being overwhelmed by the volume of work because we don't have enough staff, knowing my hard work isn't being adequately compensated

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

My pay rate is below industry standard for my title, responsibilities, & qualifications. Our pay increases don't keep up with cost of living. Entry & mid-level employees contribute significantly to Hoshizaki's record sales & profits, yet the gap between exec and lower levels continues to widen.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

Speaking strictly about my DC, we respect each other and have a close-knit relationship. We are there for each other and it feels very positive knowing that. The company culture as a whole is different because there seems to be a huge disconnect between corporate and the DCs.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Pay rates should be re-evaluated to reflect inflation, increased cost of living, and the quality, volume of work, and level of responsibility taken on by employees. An employee with a college degree and a moderate level of responsibility should be able to afford rent/mortgage in a safe area.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

My pay rate is not in line with the cost of living for my state. I cannot afford to rent or own a home without a roommate. This should not be the case for someone who has a college degree and has been with a company for several years.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

I feel like I do the job of three people and I do it all very well. I am the most diverse person in my job location as far as my knowledge, skill, and experience at Hoshizaki, yet my pay does not come close to keeping up with inflation and cost of living.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Pay rates don't keep up with cost of living. PTO does not roll over and not enough PTO is given for good work/life balance. Ex: taking 2 hrs off for each regular dr appt adds up to 12 hrs/yr for a normal healthy employee w/ no children. Dr visits can easily eat 40 hrs+ for those w/chronic illnesses
