I feel the company has a lot of potential, but with the current leadership in my department, needed changes are ignored. Example: We have oil mist in the air that is not exhausted out, handheld spray paint cans are used & fumes are in the air & are dangerous. EHS is aware, but has not taken action.
With co-workers, we value our differences and communicate openly.
My immediate team members work together, don't bring drama, and openly communicate.
Equality- this goes back to my previous comment having to do with training supervision. What they do for one they must be able to do for all under similar circumstances.
Open door policy, but again supervision needs training. One training focus, in my opinion, involves follow through from leaders. I can often feel like I'm heard, but then simple requests, even Kaizans pertaining to safety, for example, usually go ignored or forgotten.
300 characters, hm? 1984-doesn't seem to have been many updates, making productivity, efficiency, safety, quality, & even comm more difficult than what I've experienced in anthr mfg job. Inconsistencies are all around, frm blueprints to enforcing rules! Train supers (feedback, training, improvement)
Inequality- favorites are promoted when they're not able to perform basic requirements, such as blueprint reading. People who deserve promotions are often denied. Personally, I think I'm underpaid because I do about 80% of the supervisory tasks while the supervisor sits & often sleeps in his office.
Exec team is cut off from production. Leaders need to ensure systems are being utilized, such as there's little to no follow through and no accountability w/ Kaizen. Employees aren't heard or treated w/ equality & are blocked from changing jobs w/in the company. Sheet metal need leadership training!
A good start would be providing supers & other leaders with training. So much improvement can come from that, which could promote a healthier work enviro & an improved bottom line for the company. Training such as teaching them how to train others, give feedback, form teams involving employees, etc.
Ergonomics needs to be researched. Most employees in my department have feet problems because we stand with majority of weight on 1 foot for 10 hours a day in same spot. Follow through w/ Kaizen, treat people fairly. Sheet metal needs warehouse system. We have to search for parts bc no system/staging

Thank you for taking time to respond to our survey, and we understand your concerns! Our Supervisors and other front line leaders are currently undergoing DDI leadership training.
