Overall, I think things have improved since my first year. however I think the work life balance could be way better (WFH opportunities) There is no reason to have 1-2 people who can review payroll/time and 1-2 people who can do ee relations/benefits. It limits us for sure.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
After doing some research, I am certain that other companies pay $10-20,000 more than what I am being compensated.
What are some of the best things about your team?
This department has done a complete turn around since I started. Everyone brings a unique spin to our group, and it truly is one of the reasons I am still here.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
I think I work in a department that could accommodate a WFH balance for everyone. I understand the idea of having proper coverage, but if as a department we worked to have people cross trained we could be in better position. We have basically no cross training as of now.
