Higher pay rate as we do much more work than we did when I joined the company. Not forgetting the inflation since then.

Higher salary - My current salary is about the same as my salary at my former company, but I have more responsibility here. My health benefits cost more and I have a higher deductible. While the USI and 'Perks" (something like that) program are nice, I'd rather just have a higher salary/bonus.

The people and co workers that have been here many years understand the bureaucratic entanglements. We work to assist each other often in most cases where it does not fall within our job parameters. It is a bonus to have these connections and it makes many tasks more manageable through the silos.
