IKEA: IKEA is a strange beast. I love my job, but the way they determine your pay rate is complete trash. All pay is determined based on directly comparable professional experience. They ask a lot for employees who are paid at mediocre rates and preach the PTO and other benefits HARD to get you to stay.

Waffle House: When I first started I love working there. The store I worked at truly personified the spirit of working as a team. After a year and a half I moved to a new store in a new state and it just wasn't the same. No one understands team work and they just really made it a miserable place to work.
Circle K: Customer Service when claims are filed without automatically denying fault when the utmost proof has been supplied that there was undeniable damages incurred.
Hampton Inn: stand behind promises. I was offered a certificate for a free night due to poor service during a stay in April 2023. I have inquired multiple times about the certificate to be told it will arrive. It is now almost August and despite numerous inquiries, no certificate has arrived.

Dillard's: Communication from management is horrible. Once, a manager gets you set in their sights as a problem/trouble the rest join in. No one every really tries to find a solution to help the employee, especially a part-time person.
UPS: UPS is a great company to work for. They provide you the great health benefit and retirement 401k. But I would not reconmand anyone to work for UPS, especially these part timers working inside the warehouse. The management is not well managed atound the warehouse. Raising Cane's: I've worked for the company for almost 1 year, I was at a location in Colorado for about 6 months before transferring to a location in Minnesota. My current location is not fun. The managers are very unfriendly, there is a lot of favoritism and it feels like making mistakes is very looked down upon.
Aetna: Customer service, account correction. My mother went to the doctors today and was not able to be seen. Awtna Better health had a 75 year old women PCP as a pediatrician on two different card with the same ID numbers. This is unacceptable.

Within the last six months, my boss lied to someone else about things that I said or did. They have implemented a "No assist" ruule that denies the manager any assistance from their team during the shift.

Leadership is the issue -- won't give them the proper resources and constantly cancels projects and budgets last minute.

Encompass Health: Love the teamwork and the environment but the pay for the job you do leaves a bit to be desired. For me it's a trade-off. I love the place and choose to live with the lower pay to keep my piece of mind.

Lumen (formerly CenturyLink): Improve the response time between stages. If an employee applies and is a good match and or will be interviewed, don't wait 2 to 3 weeks before reaching out to them. The job market is not only competitive, but it also looks bad on the company.
