Having just started late last year I am still adjusting to my role. Onboarding entirely remotely presented new challenges but I feel that I have been able to handle things well. I look forward to getting into the office at some point to meet my team and further deepen my relationships with my team.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
Everyone has been incredibly welcoming and friendly. I was worried about establishing relationships remotely but I do not feel isolated or segmented from my existing team in any way. I have open communication with my manager and team lead and feel that my work is appreciated.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Everyone has been warm and welcoming. Starting a new role completely remote presented some new challenges but everyone was willing to help answer any questions or issues I had. Everyone is encouraging and I feel that we really operate as a team helping each other out whenever we can.
What makes you most happy at work?
I like the variety of my role and all of the technologies that I get to use and learn. Being on the cutting edge of technology is something I love. I am also proud to work for an organization that is focused on doing things correctly and not just quickly.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
ESPP and RSU's! My efforts help me increase the value of the company and I am rewarded based on that performance over time. I have never been offered a direct stake in stock as a part of my benefits or compensation until coming to RingCentral. I love having it to work towards.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
The environment and culture are very welcoming, supportive, and encouraging. The regular events have a focus on individual success, not just at work but in our personal time too. The pandemic has put a strain on everyone and I feel that RingCentral has made an effort to provide resources to help us.
