My team works on an interesting product with lots of enjoyable challenges in regards to backend development and integration with other services.
The company has shifted in the last couple years to prioritize quantity over quality. The pace of work is unsustainable and the output is of an extremely low quality. The technical debt is unmaintainable and things continue to worse as leadership pushes for more.
The most positive thing about the culture is the benefits. Flexible time off is generally respected, we have a good 401k offering, and reasonable healthcare plans and prices. Remote work is also very accessible, at least for those who don't live to close to an office (due to return-to-office policy)
I feel undervalued because Salesforce does not refresh RSUs for engineers. RSUs make up about 25% of compensation and while my salary was competitive when I was hired, the lack of any additional RSUs means I am now underpaid by at least 25%. Salesforce pays new employees more than existing ones.
