Generally positive as evidence by years of service; Informatica is not a "job hopper" environment, so doing something right, as it's an opportunity to build for the future. Solid culture overall, but teams need better training on management skills and best practices to scale for the future.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
Transparency, competency. Informatica's challenges are not due to leadership, but simply market conditions that should bode well for our success long term.
What makes you most happy at work?
I feel that I work at an ethical and relevant organization which has a real opportunity in the emerging GenAI space, so that's motivating. Most everyone is positive and transparent which is motivating to do my best.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Their hearts are in the right place (culture) but their skills collectively vary depending on team relative to other local organizations of a similar size and industry. Informatica could benefit from more in-house management training to better instill culture and best practices.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
My office has a small company, collegial, vibe, especially within my immediate departmental team where everyone is approachable and generally positive. The extended team dynamic tends to be more challenging, especially when staff are more junior and lack work discipline (e.g., self-starter mindset).
What is the best part about your compensation package?
On one hand, I believe it's equitable to my local market. The part to watch out for is when organizations looking for the same skill set may result in a title and/or compensation upgrade offer. Market conditions at the moment indicate a "great stay" so hard to say if that will affect INFA long term.
