As stores continue to close, morale had dropped. There are a high number of customer complaints dealing with service issues and delivery. Employees are having to deal with issues that we have no way to resolve such as large appliance returns.

What does the leadership team need to get better at?

They need to learn that it's not always about money and profit margins. It's fine to make money but not at the expense of good employees and valued customers. They also need to get rid of their metrics system which makes it more stressful for employees to do a job.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

People in appliances get paid on just commission without base pay. When prices fall we have to sell more to make up the difference in marginal loss. We also have to sell protection agreements that are double to triple the price of an extended warranty from another company (like Lowe's) to make money

What needs to change to make the company culture better?

metrics put a lot of pressure on good employees. They become worried that they aren't good enough to be employed, that can contribute to lower self esteem which can lead to fewer sales. Daily meetings are mostly a waste of time, there isn't much change announced that we don't already have access to
