Management is great, corporate can bite me where the sun don't shine. Maybe instead of pocketing all the extra payroll at the end of every year, you give it towards employees or advertising. Then maybe you wouldn't be closing all of your stores and fail as a business.

Compensation was never the problem. Upper management just plain made poor decisions. Placed pressure on managers to pressure sales staff daily to get better results. Staff could only do so much. Pressure to get All the “extras” is really old.

After coming back from a surgery I was helping HR in the office I was full time and have been for 15 years, I was asked to take over as HR lead and then they did away with HR and the full time position and any full time positions that came open, I'm still In office and have lost my benefits.

I am shocked at the tenure of associates in some of the stores. More often than not the associates are treated poorly. What I feel bad about is that because they have endured the poor treatment for so long they are not aware how good other retailers greet their associates.

It needs to start at the top. DMs need to at least act like they care about those working the long hours in the stores. What seems to be getting lost in the day to day operations is that it's all about the people on the front lines dealing with the customers. Treat them like you care.
