I joined Smartsheet about seven months ago, and I haven't doubted for one single second that it was the right decision for me. Everyone I work with is incredibly supportive, and I plan to stay here for a long time.
They are transparent. They communicate clearly and consistently.
Competitive salary, complemented by generous restricted stock units
Community mentality - we're all in this together
My base salary is at or above market rate.
Too many unknowns with ownership
Be more efficient with their time and clarify roles & responsibilities earlier on.
Collaborative, open-dialogue, safe space, friendly, care for one another (not just as coworkers, but as humans too)
When I am able to really make a difference with my internal customers by sharing my skills
They are pretty transparent and, in my experience and that which I've observed, quite open to constructive feedback.
Everyone generally wants to help everyone else, and we are a fairly casual culture. We take the work seriously enough, but we don't take ourselves too seriously for the most part.
It makes me so happy in my role to play a part in giving our employee resource groups (and our overall DEI journey) a voice to the rest of our employee population.
For the most part, they are more or less approachable, and their stance on remote work indicates that they view employees as responsible adults who know how to get their best work done.
It's really hard to pick one - base pay is solid. Restricted stock units are generous. I love that Smartsheet completely covers the cost of being on a medical health coverage plan (including dental and vision). And unlimited PTO!
My team is very collaborative and open to new ideas. We have an environment where we can be vulnerable and honest, and we can lift each other up. We also give credit where credit is due. And I love that we're flexible with one another.
People are incredibly passionate about the product, and that passion is contagious. At the same time, I don't think people take themselves TOO seriously. They know how to have fun and which "hills to die on" so to speak. I also love that we "work in progress" - not everything has to be perfect!
