Overall, I am very happy to be here at Smartsheet. I love the work that I do and this product. While I am nervous about current changes that are underway and a shift in the quality of our recent decisions and releases, I am optimistic that in the long run, we will pull ahead.
I love working here. Even though sometimes we face challenges, tight deadlines, or shifting requirements, that's typical everywhere. What I appreciate about Smartsheet is that we still know that companies are their people; without good people, we are not our best.
My salary, and the work from home stipend.
Creating new things that make others on my team happy and more prepared to carry out their roles.
They make an effort to be engaged with the team, and ensure that we see them taking action on different initiatives within the company.
Seeing people reactive positively to things I created and knowing that work I did made a different in helping others do their job better.
I think its great that we receive 100% employer paid heath coverage with extra benefits like mental health and other services. That's a great perk.
I like that my team is able to be honest with each other and get stuff done. We don't have to tiptoe around each other.
Getting to show how Smartsheet takes a problem and makes it not a problem anymore. Showcasing the flexibility, adaptability, and capabilities that make us a world class platform.
I appreciate their effort to be transparent and keep communication open, even if it results in lots of questions and unease among the team when challenging decisions are made.
Our team is big on building each other's skills; we do not try to maintain a hoard of personal knowledge and abilities to keep ourselves more relevant or necessary.
I like that there is a true desire for collaboration at Smartsheet; most teams are striving to be cross-departmental and cooperative, and are willing to share information and help each other find answers to key questions.
I like that my team works to stay connected and celebrates each other's wins and supports each other when we're overburdened. There is a true desire for us to succeed both as individuals and as a team.
I love how open and communicative everyone is. I do feel like I know what going on that I am allowed to know and nothing secretive is going on or smoke and mirrors are being deployed to keep us distracted from anything.
There's a lot of opportunities to engage others in the company socially, not just directly on work related tasks. It helps create a shadow of the old in person work environments, and I don't feel guilty when socially engaging others instead of working solely on tasks.
I appreciate the home office stipend. It helps offset the more expensive internet I must pay for to get the bandwidth I need to work effectively. The mental health benefit is good too, and childcare assistance through Care.com, even though that's been slimmed down from prior year.
Smartsheet is big on celebrating each other's wins, encourages people to ask questions when they aren't sure what to do, and has a focus on empowering our employees to be their best selves. There is no expectation to struggle through on your own, we help each other.
