I've been with Smartsheet for almost 4 years. While it's absolutely true that some things have changed and shifted as we've grown and transitioned to being a public company, it's still a great place to work.
The company has grown and evolved a lot, in both good and bad ways. The company invests in folks who do good work, and I've been fortunate to grow within the company.
The leadership team is easily accessable
Bonuses are nice and pre-ipo equity is great
The bonus program and equity grants are generous.
Coworkers and the work I get to do
Flexible hours, great work-life balance.
More touchpoints and better communication about who owns what.
Everyone genuinely wants to be here, very supportive and smart team.
Fast growth leads to a lot of opportunity if you deliver
Our executive team has always been transparent, and I've never felt uninformed.
Everyone is ALWAYS willing to answer questions or jump in and help.
My team and the opportunities you get if you do good work.
Equity - both new hire grants and add on grants are very generous.
I got to meet everyone I'd be interacting with on a day-to-day basis.
The people I get to interact with and not having to work crazy hours.
Transparency and communication - both with the vision and mission of the company and more tactically around our plans related to Covid.
Great, smart people! Everyone is bought into the mission of the company which leads them to do good work and they are also just good humans, many of which I consider to be friends outside of work.
Because I have grown with the company and gotten promoted, I am significantly underpaid compared to people hired in at my current level. The money allotted to my team during annual reviews isn't enough to get me into the range I should be for my current level.
