What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Leadership should prioritize transparency and frontline needs over optics. Letting teams vote on in office days and addressing income challenges. 62.5% of workers in my role have to rely on second jobs while still being required to pay for parking. We have long commutes due to cost-of-living.

Leadership needs to reinstate the flexible first model. Requiring in-office days every week has decreased employee morale.

Saying what they mean and meaning what they say. To have someone work 4 years to create a position that reflects a promotion, to then turn around and have everyone who is hired on that team have the same title is a slap in the face and shows how little this company cares about their employees.

For the last few years, the new executive team from Baine/Vista have been laying off people with decades of institutional knowledge in the core offerings of Vertafore. They've replaced them with less experienced, cheaper employees and problems in quality have only increased as they due this.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Feel that feedback provided in 2x/year survey regarding WFH policies and compensation are completely ignored. I would feel better with fair compensation and being allowed to do my job remotely - where I am most productive and the team has proven itself to be over the last 5 years.

I don’t want to depend on a second job just to afford groceries and parking. If office attendance is required, parking should be covered. I live far due to affordability, and Eco Pass

The flexible first work environment has recently been eliminated and Vertafore now requires in office days every week. Increasing an employee's commute and the cost of parking cancels out the little to nothing raises received for the year. I sincerely hope they reconsider their negative changes.

I have felt that V4 doesn't seem to care much about this compensation issue. There is a high turnover rate on some teams b/c of compensation which is incredibly disruptive to keep things moving smoothly. I appreciate the "range" but it is NOT market value and has not stayed current w/ inflation need

I love how hard my team works. I know they have my backs. Which is why working from home is best, that's when we are more focused and more useful to our team. I've learned more about my team while working from home then I would've ever learned in office. That is when they are most comfortable/happy.

I work with some of the most dedicated people I have ever met. They are extremely understanding and helpful. So many teams are welcoming and happy to answer any questions. I absolutely love having their support and knowing they're there to help.

Vertafore had a positive culture and environment in the past. They eliminated the flexible first work environment and now require in office days every week which demonstrates their lack of appreciation for their employees.

This company would do much better if it wasn't being bought by new holding companies every few years, and could actually be dedicated to creating better products for the industry rather than continually having costs cut, or decisions made to be able to make the next profitable sale.
