Leadership wants the best work environment for their employees. They generally want a great employee experience and how to be industry leaders in that area. Continually looking for ways to make ArcBest a great place to work.

Fair & equitable. It's clear that the employees are valued and recognized based on their performance

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Student workers are underpaid. With the AR minimum wage $11 and student workers starting out at $11.25, it does play a factor in our "importance". We do a lot of the same tasks as FT employees, which makes me (and the other SW's I've compared to) feel undervalued.

The company made record profits over the past year and that money fails to trickle down to fair compensation for employees. I would like to see wages raised across the company. The time off accrual should also be updated to reflect industry standard.

Tolerating poor performers and giving them pay increases and promotions will always make those who work harder feel undervalued. Having automated increases every 6 months based on performance could help this issue.

It was efficient, and questions were very direct and to the point.

What would you improve about your company's interview process?
I went through three or four interviews before I was hired, which was ridiculous. The recruiting team is working on an overhaul of the hiring process so things should be better in the future.
