More thought to the employees I was basically told I could be replaced anytime with ten other people willing to do the job for less by my team lead - he was telling me about what he had said to another worker at the time but by implication, since the other worker had the same position I filled....

Nurturing the company. Right now they are feed, take their profits, and then let the people who are the company wither on the vine.

recruitment and retention. Poor benefits, low ball pay, and constantly changing requirements make this a good company to leave after a year or two of seasoning.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
More than the bare minimum on offer

I feel undervalued, because I am undervalued. I see what the market is paying. I have never received a raise, despite good reviews, for my entire tenure. I only know two, in a team of 40, who have gotten a raise in the last 7 years. A career path with the possibility of keeping up with inflation.

Adequate pay that is at least up to market scale. Some hope of raises would be nice, as well as a possibility of moving up in the company. Without these, nothing else will matter.

Treated like a number. Good things ignored, bad things highlighted. They will try not to pay you

My coworkers are great people. Also, the company will let me grow and try new things, as long as it does not cost them anything. My direct manager is very good, but he dos not run the company. Right now, there is a residue of good things from when this was a great company, but they are disappearing.

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
Oh wow, pay increases at regular intervals would help a lot. I have not have a pay increase in over five years. We get reviewed annually - all mine have been positive either meet or exceeds expectations

We are very much engaged in the race to the bottom, low balling techs while also putting a lot of administrative and clerical work that is not really technical, on them. With no hope for raises, no clear career path, and large amounts of non technical work heaped on us, many no longer care.

CompuCom has been seen as nothing more than a stepping stone for CEOs. Nothing is cared for when it comes to the employee.
