I have had several managers at my time at Encore so far. Historically, they were very mediocre and did a poor job of leading by example. My current manager, however, is a lighthouse in an ugly sea. They are very good, and they are the reason I have stayed as long as I have.

They keep employees informed of top level executive decisions, but when deployed to the field team, a lot of their processes are time consuming and redundant as the reporting is requested from local leadership.

The leadership team should work to motive and inspire instead of using fear and punishment with their employees. This discourages creative and enthusiasm from their hourly employees to do more and expand their growth in the company.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
The insurance has very high deductables

Compensation is disgustingly low. If you have a good title, you're making far below the state and federal national average for that job pay. When I was hourly, I was making little more than minimum wage for working extensive shifts. I would like pay increases to be inflation + 5-10% per raise cycle.

Chatting with other friends who are managers or in different fields, they always wonder why I cannot make certain quality of life events. For the amount of time worked in comparison to the level of stress and compensation, my family or friends do not approve of the amount of compensation.

My manager keeps me at the company. They check in with me to make sure I'm not overwhelmed with work, and when I am, they make sure to figure out how to stop that from happening in the same way again. I do feel like I have someone in my corner

Back when I was hired in, it was face to face sit down with my direct supervisor. I've been noticing it's different now in that they want a video submission, or video interview....not sure if all interviews with PSAV are like that now, but face to face is the way to go. Always.
