The best thing about the leadership team at my store is that they care both for the customer and the employees. They will often give the customer deals and such but will not turn their backs on their employees when a difficult situation occurs.

Employees that are dedicated and have moved up within the company are not compensated the same as employees hired from outside companies.

As a hard and dependable worker, seeing other grocery stores around me paying more to their associates in the same position as me makes me feel less valued. Also having a new person come in with more experience and getting paid higher in the same position as I makes me feel underappreciated

I'm afraid of management as they are constantly speaking negatively of employees below them. I am constantly yelled at and berated when I make a mistake. I wish store managers would put the department managers in there place and reprimand them for the way they treat us.

Good workers are overworked and are not supported and recognized. First, you need to hire the right management.

Understaffing on purpose, just to save money (because sales weren't met) makes work a ball of stress that no one looks forward to. Some of the things required, have nothing to do with customer service, and yet is expected despite the amount of help provided.
