I believe the IHOP environment that I work in is toxic for every employee besides managers involved. The verbal abuse and punishment without explaination creates an uneasy environment. I have found the management to be toxic especially for customers to hear employees being yelled at by managers.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Positive and open communication. Being able to accept that the employees are human and make mistakes and shouldn't cause heartache when only one server makes a mistake throughout the entire shift or day.
