Being more honest. At the last town hall we heard how great the company was doing. Then we found out that nobody in the UK was getting raises this year. It's hard to trust leadership with those types of mixed messages.
The coworkers on my team only want to stay in their lane. There is little to no interest or drive to do anything beyond that. They aren't proactive in the least. Maybe because there is little incentive to do so as mentioned in the previous comment.
I'm really struggling with my team and their lack of drive. There is also WAY too much emphasis on data driven analytics. I waste so much time on things like OKRs and other administrative nonsense when I could be doing actual work that would add true customer value.
My manager is INCREDIBLY supportive of me. He empowers me to make decisions for my team. He's the best manager I've ever had. Also, I am a member of Elsevier Enabled and am so impressed by what they are trying to accomplish. I appreciate the company's support of ERGs.
There is little to no incentive to doing an above average job. Managers are told they can't give out "too many" high scores for annual reviews. Raises barely keep up with inflation. It might be nice to have some kind of perks (bonus maybe?) for the people who go the extra mile.
