Compensation in Small Law is severely underpaid. Many people join Small Law and leave after a year or two because other divisions within LexisNexis pay more.

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?

In Small Law, you are underpaid and given little to no flexibility in terms of working from home. Leadership tells you when to work at home and when to work in the office. You also have to jump through a ton of hoops to close a deal in sales.
