What do you like best about the leadership team?
They are open with initiatives the company is taking. Lower management is very involved with the day to day of their teams, making it easy to develop friendships and trust between us and them.

I feel the leadership team takes responsibility and creates a positive atmosphere for employees at Malouf.

They are humans just like us. They're never un-reachable. They're very approachable. They make you feel like you are the most important thing to them while you're talking to them, you never get the feeling that you're being a hindrance or annoying.

What is the best part about your compensation package?
I mean, the paycheck, that's why jobs exist in the first place. But other perks that are great: - Great health care plan (premiums covered) - Decent amount of PTO, that increases as tenure increases - Activities and opportunities to participate in so many different circles of life.

Paycheck and 100% covered health care premiums. If an excellent work/life balance counts, then that too.

I would say I am compensated well in so many ways, but the best part of my compensation is lunches (Bacon wrapped meatloaf today... YUM!)

What are some of the best things about your team?
Everybody knows how to get down to work and do it. We don't have anybody who is just riding coattails, or works just enough to merit the paycheck, but never going above and beyond. When put to the plow, everybody works.

My team works very well together as a unit. The culture fit of each member has been a focus in hiring and it shows in the people I work with each day.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
The bright outlook everyone has. Any initiatives or plans that are made, everyone looks at them with a positive attitude, and gets invested in making it a success. It makes it really easy to avoid pessimism.

I love having so many friends in the company and that Malouf encourages those friendships by doing things like serving lunch so I can eat with my coworkers each day. These relationships are what help me to enjoy my job almost every day.

Having friends at work does make a difference. We care about our employees’ happiness, not just their work output. That’s why our perks and events help strengthen our company community. We appreciate your sharing your thoughts about this.
Malouf does lots of fun events. Some people love to participate, some love to cheer them on, some love to just watch from the back and smile. There is no judgement about it, and there's no expectation that everyone will participate at some time. You can be who you're comfortable being all the time.

What makes you most happy at work?
Fixing a problem that has been a thorn in my side for ages. Followed closely by building an HQ feature that I see used a lot by other employees. Noticing my work being of great value to another employee is so rewarding.
