Overall, I am unhappy with day to day operations. They make everyone managers, with very few general employees. Daily, I am given several duties to do by several different people all expected them to be done immediately. I was not given promised raises or promotions . Extremely negative experience.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
There are NO benefits...no paid holidays, no insurance, no vacation time or anything else that would fall under the category of benefits.
What would you most like to see improved at your company?
For all the managers to agree on policies and procedures. Also, there are more managers than employees so, you always have several managers giving you tasks at the same time.
What did you like most about the interview process?
The manager that interviewed me was friendly, forward and did not want to hear all the things you are taught to say in an interview. It was more like a conversation.
What makes you most happy at work?
I work as a cashier and I absolutely love working with the public. I try to make them happy and hope they leave with a smile. This is the best part of my job.
What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?
Like myself, most of my teammates dislike the company and the way they are treated, and therefore just want to do their job and go home. We have nothing to be happy about, except that we have a job.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Following labor laws (As for myself, they have broken at least 5 different labor laws), food safety regulations (if it can be done faster and cheaper by "bending" rules, they will) and showing care and respect to their employees. Profit is not only the top priority, but their only priority.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
We do what we can to make our environment happy. Most of us love our customers, and I actually love the job I do. I just don't want to do it here. Also, our environment is usually very unsafe, and so we are never very comfortable. I would say there is an air of "anxiety, frustration and fear".
