What do you like best about the leadership team?
The transparency to all employees is key, also appreciate that they listen to anyone with an opinion. I appreciate their support for every employee to go big, experiment and learn quickly.

What is the best part about your compensation package?
Nextdoor offers a very comprehensive compensation package. I appreciate that they offer a variety of different perk that span across the board such as fertility funding, pet sitting, and child care.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
There is a very high visibility economic struggle right now, and I haven't once been approached about a raise or even a cost of living increase. It's below market value and I think it's only fair to give everyone that cost of living increase if not annually realign salaries with market value.

Inflation adjustments are needed for the team.

cost of living and inflation has become insane -- other companies are giving cost of living increases. power's speech on comp in comparison to cost of living/inflation didn't make sense. there's no huge perk of attracting people to come into the office and WFH perks are minimal compared to others.

Nextdoor pays a lower salary than other companies of the same size in similar areas. I would love to see Nextdoor be more competitive with compensation

Everyone acts like an owner. They take care of their own responsibilities and leans in when someone needs help.

What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?
no one really seems to care or is connected to the company/product. energy is super low in group meetings or any time theres an accomplishment. we all are just a cog in the wheel and feedback isn't really listened to. prod will do whatever they want to do and make decisions that dont make any sense

I love the flexibility of a hybrid workplace - I feel like that shows the company cares about our mental health, and personal needs. Traffic Week events are extremely fun to get together in-person, and I do feel like Nextdoor has created a sense of community, and everyone really is kind.

Less reporting meetings. More meetings in which we really support and discuss.

I dread the marathon of video meetings.

Tooling in not yet up to scale with the advances of the platform, however, it is already being improved upon. A readily available and readable roadmap of functionalities and changes to the platform would be welcome.
