What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Feels like the goals that they executive leadership team does not align with the staffing that is put in place at the lowest levels. Not enough worker bees to execute the queen's vision. We can't keep doing more and more with less and less.

What is the best part about your compensation package?
I appreciate the the merit increases and bonuses for all the hard work accomplished for the year.

I so very much appreciate the yearly bonus. It allows me to financially pay for larger projects or take a family vacation. I love the free Shutterfly products. I have been able to give meaningful gifts to family over the years. I appreciate the 401(k) match, which helps me save for retirement.

Peers out there are earning higher

I should be paid what I am worth. Not just what the average area pays for this job. Everyone has different skill sets and those should be recognized.

Lack of transparency on compensation for roles. Raises being dependent on performance (even cost of living raises) is frustrating, especially during high inflation.

The cost of benefits are probably the most expensive I have had at any company. UHG should not be the carrier for many reasons. I don't believe that the team is fairly promoted in comparison to overall spend and responsibility. We have taken on additional responsibilities and companies.

What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?
The leaders have not done a good job of retaining the best talent and when positions open up, the backfill is not of the same level as the person they are replacing.

Have outsourced people offshore and it is a challenge to work with them and continuously have to check they are doing things properly.

Our building and team - I have a wonderful team of employees that work for me. We have great working relationships. Our location is independent of other facilities. We have made it our own. Everyone here takes pride in their work and appreciates each other.

I have space and permission to be self-directed, this in turn helps to create strong-minded and resourceful team members. Autonomy can provide a lot of growth for someone (depending who you are, of course).

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
Doing too much with not enough. Competing priorities from various departments and not enough bandwidth to be able to work on each team's varying #1 priorities.

The rate of change at the eStaff level and continual layoffs/cost cutting contribute to a sense that we lack job security/stability. Also, it would help to be able to fill roles in the general accounting team as the workload has increased dramatically w/ many having left without being replaced
