What do you like best about the leadership team?
I have been at SPS for a long time and leadership has always not only stayed ahead of the curve, but have defined where the curve goes next and ensure we hit it out of the park.

Not create hostile work environments due to pressure they are under. They also are constantly changing their minds on what they want which makes it impossible to deliver.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
SPS pays below market rate and does not attract top talent as a result. They do not pay competitively for numerous positions when compared to other large companies in MN.

I am constantly working beyond 40 hrs a week and would like to be properly compensated for the demands of this job. we are given unrealistic timelines for projects. I would like to see SPS to update their parental leave to be realistic to the needs of a family have a new baby.

What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?
Across the board, we are struggling with capacity issues and lack of ownership. This can lead projects to stall out, things to be missed, and miscommunication across the board. This causes frustration and puts strain on working relationships.

There are power struggles across teams for credit, wins and being seen as the drivers of success over the other teams that are supporting them.

My coworkers need to do better with teamwork and training. When asking for help it can be a challenge to get help and get understanding to learn how to address situations in the future. There is also to m any differences of opinion on how to handle tasks.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
I'm not sure if this is necessarily the culture, but I have built up a huge network of people in teams across the company over the years and we frequently go to each other for help, guidance, to be part of something, etc. And we all get along great in team events, etc. as well.

The employees are great! we have some hard workers in SPS. I think the culture is everyone is over worked and its a "normal" thing to work on weekends. which SHOULD NOT be the expectation for employees to do that and feel the they have to in order to get stuff done.

What needs to change to make the company culture better?
Executives either don't have a plan, or the plan isn't executed well in the levels directly below them. By the time it gets to our Product Owners and technology teams everything is chaos.

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
I would like to see the companies goals aligned across the board, It seems like each segment of sps whether that be Supplier or retailer or Sales and CS. Everyone has their own priorities that they are trying to go above and beyond their "day job". our goals should align with everyone's goal.

There's a need to invest in better processes and systems that can help staff keep up with demands. SPS is operating like a small company with dreams of being a $1B rev company --- leaders need to evolve their mindset that what got the company here today isn't going to get us where we want to go

Upper management needs to change in all the ways. The hostile environment, the not knowing what they want, constantly changing focus. They are working on destroying this company.
