Changes are constant but if they do not work the exec team is quick to correct corse.

Our exec team has some really talented and thought-provoking leaders. However, I do believe some of our leaders could take the time to get in the weeds and learn whats driving the success/failures of the companies. It's hard to take some people seriously, if they have no idea what you're doing.

The TK leadership team is dedicated to understanding the industry to ensure that decisions and strategy set us up for success. I report to the CEO and there is never a doubt in my mind that he has "done his homework". I appreciate the transparency he provides and the openness around decision making.

What does the leadership team need to get better at?
There is no communication. The management team is no team. They lie to each other, they lie to guests and their employees and the owners. They dont sanitize the homes as promised. They don't perform the management duties expected and agreed upon in the contract. They yell and and never return calls.

Listen to your team! You just decide whatever you think is best for the company, without taking any input or thinking through the consequences or effects on your employees.

What is the best part about your compensation package?
unlimited pto, stock options. Good benifits

I like that they include equity in the compensation package. I wish I could earn more equity because I think it is important to establish the link between long term effort and company growth and value.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Field Operations/Property Managersmake the same hourly rate regardless of the the amount of homes they manage. Markets with 4 employees and 100 properties make the same as 4 people 150 properties etc.

What are some of the best things about your team?
Teams are small, so it really matters who is brought on. Teams of 3-6

We place an emphasis on collaboration and team work. Our teams are all remote and thus do not have a lot of opportunity to engage in person. Through virtual meetings and the occasional team events we are able to effectively engage, communicate and collaborate.

The company meetings are concise and keep everyone informed. Sometimes hard to attend due to scheduling but always recorded. It really comes down to the local meetings where ideas are shared and roadblocks removed.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Culture is built from the ground up. A wise man once told me that culture eats strategy for breakfast. I see that Turnkey incorporates the feedback from the teams and incorporates it into cultural direction of the company.

From "free Fridays" where the team enjoys a beverage in the afternoon to larger social events held each month after our company wide meetings, the culture is one where you work hard and play hard. Our office manager is amazing and the events for employees are inclusive, fun, and easy to attend!

The tests were not that tough, they called me quickly for a total of 3 interviews.

What would you improve about your company's interview process?
Interview process was easy, becasue they only go after the applicants with the lowest salary expectations. The recruiter did not fully disclose the job until after the offer letter was signed.

I think too much emphasis is placed on PI and not enough on the recruitment channels. I think we need to simply the job roles and segment out some of the more functional responsibilities and create new roles as a result. This can provide a better pathway to promotions and development.
