The environment has become very competitive over the years. Good in terms of bringing out the best in people and getting results. But bad in terms of team spirit and nurturing relationships. Sometimes I'm not sure who to trust.

Cosa ti piace di più del team di leadership?

They responded to the covid situation in a very humane way. They have really been prioritizing employee well being the past two years. They also try to respond more authentically and be more reachable through regular town halls and office hours.

Perché ti senti sottovalutato e che cosa ti farebbe sentire meglio con il tuo compenso?

I have been in IBM 15 yrs and feel a little behind salary-wise. Salary increases offered to long-time IBMers are measly compare to what new hires are getting, even if they have less experience. Also there is a huge inequality in pay between countries even among people in the same role.

People are really open to new ideas and to change. There are a lot of really good and smart people. Our team has a high-performance culture so you get to push yourself in every conversation. With some effort, you can build good friendships over time in spite of the virtual work environment.
