They need to be consistent and treat everyone fairly and with respect.
Consistency in the work place. Maybe then it wouldn't appear to be about favoritism.

The senior leadership in my department say the company is about one thing, but when it comes to showing that its about caring and giving options and flexibility, there is none for its leaders that aren't "favorites"
