Overall I've had a positive experience. I worry that we're starting to just standardize to what other tech cos are doing, and I'm a little disappointed in that. The company has cool products and solves cool problems, but is struggling to figure out how to balance top-down direction and communication

Overall it's a good company that's getting worse. Comp is better than smaller places which won't have as much of the "growing company" pains. Career advancement is problematic especially with new limitations on number of promotions regardless of employee readiness.

Leadership needs to align internally on vision. Right now there are often divergent opinions in the leadership group making it impossible for teams to deliver.

There's just too much going on all the time. I'm overloaded and pretty sure everyone else is too. Too many objectives all over the place with no concerns for whether they're accomplished or not.

It's a well-known industry fact that you can always make more money by jumping ship. I don't think HashiCorp is unique in this factor, but it would be nice to get raises that are similar to what I'd see if I got a new job.
