it's easy, store managers (TLs) are nice; the flip side of that means work standards are lax. Don't know why but corporate drives off the coolest managers. Talks big about LGBT+ but sells Ron DeSantis's biography. Talks big about mental health but health plans are weak on mental health coverage.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
Understanding, respects confidentiality (regarding personal life, health, mental health, etc.), flexible, and have never once in my 2 years seen any team lead yell at, demean, or discourage a team member -- a very serious accomplishment.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Base-pay got bumped in 2022 but despite getting the highest marks and highest possible raise in my annual review, my raise was very far below inflation, 4%, while my friends getting the smallest raise got actual pennies. A raise at inflation for lowest performers and above for better performers.
