The leadership team is invested in a great future for the Company. Too much, however, is lost in the "Target Speak" and the company's own "branding" of what it's employees are. The decision to be people driven without the honest look at what that is leaves this team without a clear direction.

My position at Target is an HR expert. Considering the expectations and responsibilities of this position, I strongly belive HR experts deserve higher compensation. HR deals with sensitive information and acts as a support system for upper leadership, which requires high attention to detail.

I feel undervalued because they keep increasing the minimum pay, but don't equally increase the pay of those that make above the new minimum amount. So now someone who has worked there for 5 years could be making the same amount as some who just started.

Thanks to the "UN"Affordable "UN"Care Act - Target team members no longer can afford health insurance. Even before the ACA began, the benefits weren't the best.

What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?

Managers aka Executive Team Leaders between departments and locations are pitted against each other. Top leadership keeps active presence, but doesn't help resolve problems when they place & keep wrong people in management leadership positions.

Even thou some issues are addressed at the huddles, the leaders dont put too interest in fixing the problem, they are just there to get their money and make themselves look good in front of the STL. The STL just want to pretend everything looks good for their own benefit of their store.

They need to stop depending on referrals from family member and need to hire people who really want and need the jobs, rather than just a pay check. They just want to help their own people rather than the community. Specially in Miami central.

Stop saying that everyone MUST have open availability. Some people are looking for a 2nd job - so work with their availability! I know that too many possible good employees are overlooked based just on availability.
