I came from a Big 4 firm, and the competitive culture and politics there were a daily drain on my stress level. I've found that working for a great company like Centric makes me want to be more thoughtful and creative to solving problems, and when I work late, I don't have a grumpiness like I did.

Everyone is very professional and smart yet warm and friendly. They encourage people to be "real" and show their true selves. They also have so many internal resources for training, communication, etc. They also offer very competitive compensation and benefits. The are also open to new ideas.

The best thing I can say about the Leadership Team is that they ARE a team. Hierarchy doesn't come into play at Centric. I've only been with the company for a year but I can share my insights and thoughts with any "level" of the organization and I'd be heard and acknowledged.

When interviewing I was asked what I would like and the company met that expectation. They give early bonus for the holiday season and in the short time I have been here I have seen them adjust pay mid-year to account for some market adjustments.

Salary is very competitive and PTO time is unlimited as long as it's within reason.

Besides the good pay I receive, there are other ways the company compensates me including a partial bonus before Christmas and the three-day holiday party each year that allows me to connect with my co-workers and not talk about work. For the first time in my career I feel my value aligns with comp.

Everybody wants to collaborate. There may be differences of opinion, but we work together to overcome bad feelings related to it ("Social Contract"). There is very little territorialism and tribalism. This was a rampant problem at my last firm.

I never felt like I was being critically evaluated to do "x, y and z". I was being evaluated to become part of a family... it becomes your family of choice. We all have family (good and bad), but when you're brought into a "family of choice" there is freedom and the ability to relax and enjoy.
