There have been ups and downs. Most recently, their has been drastic improvements to goals, vision, and culture that have truly transformed this place. The early days we difficult because we were a growing company but now that we have found our foothold, I see only greatness in the future.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Our team is always in constant communication. We communicate through IM daily and host in person meetings frequently. We collaborate on all our projects and assist whenever needed.
What makes you most happy at work?
The interaction between employees. For the most part, colleagues are always open and willing to support in whatever capacity they can. They develop bonds and friendships that expand beyond work.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Compensation has notoriously been an issue at HealthStream. While they do provide other benefits that make a great culture, salary is what pays the bills. They have sought to improve salary but are still not within the "competitive" threshold.
What did you like most about the interview process?
I liked the ability to be honest and open with interviewees. Allowing them to ask questions and not shying away from the truth of our organization allows us to be transparent and hire people who are truly interested in working for us.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
The leadership is transparent for the most part. They provide constant communication to lower level employees about company direction and goals. However, there is still a lack of departmental communication. Leadership meets frequently but there are still times when we are caught off guard.
