I'm thankful for my job! The company is very fast-paced. Often, we start down one path and then abandon it for a completely different one. While I like the challenge, I often wish we were given more access to training. There's a competitive vibe that keeps some people from sharing their knowledge.
What are some of the best things about your team?
We jump in to help when someone is overwhelmed or needs to switch priorities.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
It feels like most people care about each other and see each other as fellow humans not just economic commodities.
What did you like most about the interview process?
I liked meeting multiple team members at once. I also liked that the manager left the room. It made me think I could ask questions of my peers and get more honest responses.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
I'm just thankful to get health insurance period. As someone who could one day lose that right by being tagged with a pre-existing condition, just the sheer value of having insurance at all is critical to me.
What makes you most happy at work?
Working from home has made so happy! It gives me freedom to be creative and to move around physically in the house. It keeps distractions to a minimum. There's no one "driving by" my desk distracting me from my work. It's quiet when I need it to be.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
When the COVID crisis began, our executives let us work from home long before it was mandated. During the tornadoes, they encouraged us to volunteer and give money/supplies to people affected. They're taking a conservative approach to sending us back to the office and focusing on our safety first.
