There have been several direct efforts to improve the experience for all over the last couple of years and most of those have identified with my values. My experience at Healthstream has improved immensely and directly proportionally to those efforts. I am happy, but still worry it will slide back.
What did you like most about the interview process?
Nothing in particular stands out 4 years down the road.
What do you like best about your company?
My current leadership, and the flexibility I have to contribute to both the details and the strategic decisions at many levels.
What would you most like to see improved at your company?
Career path. I don't think it is anyone's fault in particular, but I do not like stagnation and would like to have more opportunities to advance my career.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Leadership puts a lot of effort towards culture and environment at our company. We have a great office, great work from home options, and several options to join culture building exercises/groups.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I don't feel undervalued. The compensation is fair in the Nashville market. I think a better 401k contribution would make me feel like the company policies are a little bit more behind my success.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
I like the positive attitude and the transparency of our leadership team. I think the C suite has been making an effort to connect with all levels of employees. The VP level currently over me I have found very engaging and transparent.
What makes you most happy at work?
I enjoy solving big problems and connecting with people. I have been afforded freedom to find big problems and solve them. My recent leadership have been quick to connect me with people in all facets of the company to identify and solve problems. It has been both challenging and fulfilling.
What are some of the best things about your team?
We have a great team now. We have had some turnover in the last few years, but i really think it has provided us with opportunities to improve. My direct team is very competent, eager to contribute and learn, and extremely collaborative. I like a lot of things about my job, but our team is top notch
