My experience at HealthStream has been fantastic. but I have seen how who your direct manager makes the biggest impact on your overall happiness at the company. 99% are great and foster collaborative experiences. Some don't, and the people that work for them have a harder time finding joy at work.

I appreciated the opportunity to meet with several different people with varied genders, ages, and cultural backgrounds.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
Leadership is compassionate, kind, and friendly. I feel I can talk to any one of them I meet in the hallway. I appreciate the opportunities I have to connect with them and learn more about them as people.
What are some of the best things about your team?
HealthStream hires smart people who aren't afraid to get down in the dirt and get things done. I've worked with some of the most creative people at HealthStream and am always honored to share the room with such great and inspiring minds.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I believe my salary is fair, but I know that's not the case for many of my colleagues. Generally our benefits are decent, with the exception of our very poor (well below compatible companies) 401k match and our almost non-existant maternity leave.
What makes you most happy at work?
I am most happy when I am moving the needle. HealthStream empowers employees to think outside of the box and to pursue paths that interest them. You can sometimes even create your own job, and there aren't many companies that encourage that. I've enjoyed my journey here.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
HealthStream have a core vision that leads all we do. We can always look back to it when making tough decisions and it helps us to mold our path. We support people that care for others in their darkest hour. That is really impactful and empowering. You feel it when you work here.
